we are doing cd reviews of artists cds on hiphopgateway.com…

i was wondering what kind of laws govern displaying their music on
the website?

say… having a track listing playing a snippit of whatever songs… would
we just need permission from the artist or record label or not even that?
or… what? does anyone know?

then again… i think thats only if its with a record company… if its an
indepedent artist they could easily give permission for such a usage of
their music…

i dunno… anyone know anything about this?
