I’ve been thinking about what I find to be just plain beautiful recently, not as a way to describe the way someone looks, but to describe an idea.
For example, and I bet you can’t guess what it is:
Unicycling, as unicyclists, we dedicate our entire being to the purpose of moving one wheel. To me, that’s a beautiful concept.
Though, I find beauty in just about everything, but unicycling stands out to me as something beautiful, and there’s many many more things I find beautiful.
But, I’m sure there’s other concepts that just seem beautiful to you guys, and I feel quite curious as to what they are.
And I’ve said beautiful a lot in this one post, fancy that.
Bicycling, as bicyclists, they dedicate their entire being to the purpose of moving two wheels. To me, that’s a beautiful concept… bicycling stands out to me as something beautiful.
I second that. Reading what some people write on here is like watching a blind, three legged chihuahua with epilepsy trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube under a strobe light.
They never get old and ugly and die. Some get old, and some die, but at their very worst, they look like George Burns on a good day.
Parrots are beautiful also. Some of them can live as long as turtles. They pull out their feathers periodically, like mall rats, so they always have feathers that look like new. Even a trained eye might pass a 200 year old turtle for a girl of 100. An 80 year old parrot looks 20 and talks like it’s 30. I wish I could pull that one off.
Music creates order out of chaos: for rhythm imposes unanimity upon the divergent, melody imposes continuity upon the disjointed, and harmony imposes compatibility upon the incongruous.
“What have we here, laddy? Mysterious scribblings? A secret code? No… Poems, no less. Poems, everybody! The laddy reckons himself a poet!”
Cool thread. Maybe a bit pretentious, but hey, sometimes I like to indulge in a little pretention.
This woman is pretty beautiful:
She is a Hindu priestess from Sri Lanka. She believes that a god dwells in her permanently matted hair. It has been suggested that she has suffered deep psychological distress and sexual axieties. Her hair provides her with a special status as holy, allowing her to escape from her culture’s rules and expectations of marriage and sexual relations.
