What are good songs for uni vids???
depends on your riding style, for example a death metal song wouldt really suit an elegant freestyle routine video
yer

also, i like to think of my videos as highlight reels for my riding over the period when i was filming… that seems to help a lot.
Why are you putting songs in your uni video? Are you producing something for MTV? Are you just doing it 'cause that’s what everyone else does?
Why not do something original and UNIque? Experiment… try adding your own sound effects. Maybe some clips from your favorite movie or comedy album. How about some “sounds of nature” where appropriate or inappropriate?
If your video looks and sounds just like everyone else’s video, then how is someone going to remember yours, specifically? If your riding doesn’t shine like Shaun’s or Ryan’s or Kris’s then why not make your production shine instead?
Entry of the Gladiators is always appropriate.
Micheal Jackson ;-]
Anything by Miley Cyrus.
i once featured in a uni vid which thankfully never made it on to the internet - the song was gay bar by electric six
no songs by linken park.
thats a good idea maestro. I think i am gonna beatbox the whole time i am riding in a video i make…
Rodgers and Hammerstein showtunes!
Come on everyone!
“There is nothing like a DAAAAAME!!!..”
No?
Just me?
Punk rock/skate punk/ska punk
I was thinking about adding a comedy track to a trials video, and time the laughter with the big drop at the end of each line.
Then a muni video out in the woods, but use sounds of traffic and heavy construction, use automobile crash sound effects for the landings.
Oh, to have a video camera and endless amounts of free time!
I’m glad I don’t.
I can’t believe it! What a coincidence that the day I posted that would be the day that Michael Jackson would die.
Jerrick has some good advoce for vids. He covers music in this.
Coincidence?
Or something more sinister?
Can you account for your whereabouts yesterday?
Hmm?
hehe:p
He missed the tip about putting a solid minute of opening credits into your video, before any riding footage is shown. I love watching misspelled, oversized, garishly colored titles in eye-gouging fonts for prolonged periods while YouTube buffers the video. Why even put any riding in, when you can just describe the riding with more text?
Oops, missed the edit window.
Jerrick’s tip about the cameraman talking on the phone might be glossed over; it should be repeated here. The cameraman, and anyone standing near the camera, should talk and shout as much as possible. With the excellent fidelity of camera-mounted microphones, it really captures the essence of “being in the moment”… with a bunch of over-caffeinated, inarticulate, socially awkward teenagers with coprolalia.
