I just picked this up this weekend, spent about 30 min riding it, as I was trying to adjust seat height I noticed something was wrong
That sucks, was it like that before you started riding?
I’m 99.9% sure. It was really hard to adjust the seatpost before I hopped on the first time. I didn’t think to look to make sure the frame was not bent as it is brand new, so I don’t have a visual confirmation that is was bent, only the symptom of the seatpost not moving up and down freely.
Suck dude send it back to the store you got it from and they’ll send you another one and they will send that frame back to Kris Holm
Definately a downer. Hopefully the place you bought it from will take care of you.
Well if by “taking care of me” you mean getting me UDC’s mailing address and telling me to send it there and explaining that I may have a new frame back in two weeks, then yes.
Satisfactory, but not delighted.
That’s one wonky frame.
Did you ride around in circles when you first tried it out?

Wow, KH needs to check with his QC guys in China. I doubt the Erickson Brothers, Rick Hunter or dare I say it Koxx would of let something like that go out the door.
Hope you get a new one sooner than was estimated.
It’s highly unlikely it went out the door (at the factory) looking like that. The bend looks like it could only have happened by having force applied to a seatpost that was in there. This would not have happened at the factory. Hmmm…
Along with the bent seat tube it looks like the stays are mis-alligned at the crown as well. I would think it to be a manufacturing mishap, but just my opinion.
Just got a call from Josh at UDC, they got it and said the replacement is on the way, so at least that went quick and easy.
Awesome! Now tell us what really happened.
If the whole frame was bent, this could also have happened in the shipping process somewhere along the line…
Hmm I can’t believe you ‘didn’t notice’ when you put your seatpost on that the frame was bent.
Anything you’re not telling us? Or am I just a pessimist
I bought it a shop, it was already assembled. When I got it home (200 miles away) I went to adjust the seatpost and it would barely budge, that is when I noticed it.
