A young lady I know at work says while she was doing some rock climbing in New York this weekend ( 10-16 or 17 ) she saw someone with a unicycle, although carrying it, not riding it. She couldn’t talk to them, seeing as how she was hanging off the side of a mountain or whatever she was climbing, but she thought enough to let me know.
If that was you, you were spotted by the friend of a unicycler!!!

Check a map. New York is a state, is pretty big, and reaches all the way to Lake Erie. Plenty of rocks to climb on. But you didn’t say where…
True, maybe I should ask her where she was…
hmmmmm… so if I had a penny, I could buy ten unicyclists, sell them at a profit and keep their unicycles!!!

Your friend was very likely climbing near New Paltz, NY, on some world-famous (among climbers, that is) cliffs called the Shawangunks, or the “Gunks” for short.
The whole area is laced with carriage roads which would be great for unicycling.

Yep, she was at the Gunks. If anyone was riding unicycle there This weekend you were spotted. I’m just intrested to see if I can find them, plus it gives us something to talk about at work. Maybe i’ll have to go with next time they go and actually use my mountain unicycle for what it was intended for…
