A while ago my friends sent in some footage to XS TV. They have this segment called ‘Nads’ where they show people doing silly things on bikes and skateboards and stuff, hurting themselves and the likes. We just got notice about when it’s showing:

This timetable came along with a release form to sign, and notification that someone will get $250 free airtime on their Vodaphone cellphone. The airtime is useless to me because I don’t use a cellphone, but I’m sure someone will enjoy it. I don’t know exactly what footage will be played, but I have already had people see me and Ben who recognised us from XS TV. I think it’s pretty cool how people are paying to see us, even if it’s only for a short time. All the Sky viewers pay money to watch, the screening on TV2 is free for all on national TV. I know there aren’t many New Zealanders who read the forums, but just in case, keep your TV tuned to channel 2 on Tuesday night, 11pm! I’ll keep you posted as to how it turns out. Someone said Tony Melton might make an appearance on there too.
They showed us after the second ad break on Tuesday as scheduled. It was less than a minute of footage, a couple of Ben’s failed drops, and one of me crashing on some stairs, and James falling over when approaching a car at an intersection. They are not the most spectacular crashes but it is cool how we got on TV for it. We had some far more entertaining crash footage, but some of it got taped over, and some never got edited in time for Mike to send it. Ben’s six failed six foot drop attempts would have been appropriate for the occasion. They also showed Mike jumping off a roof and Mal dropping in on halfpipe, on a Skateboard, dressed as a fat man.
A few minutes ago, they showed some bails from UNiVERsE on XS TV. They got confused and said something about the boys from GUStv, but I don’t think they had anything to do with it. It was pretty cool though I reckon, since it portrays unicycling differently than circus performances. I wonder who gave them the footage.
Yeah, us Kiwis have TV. There are three main channels. There was none shown without falls as far as I can remember. We were on ‘nads’ which is all bails and mishaps sent in by home viewers, and UNiVERsE was on the crashes of the week (or something along those lines). I thought it was strange how they mixed up the credits though and forgot to mention Kris, Dan, and Adam who were doing the crashing.
