Have you ever seen the play Fortinbras? About when Hamlet’s son becomes king of Denmark, and then takes over Norway and calls the new country Denway (or maybe Normark), then his army continues onward and takes over all of Europe.

Our ‘Army’ gets credit for that one, not yours
It seems that the Island in question has been invaded numerous times in the last 30 years by either side, leaving behind a flag and a bottle of liquor for the next invading force. As invasions go I guess they don’t get any better than that. Still, a ridiculus amount of effort spent on >1 sq. mile of frozen rock.
Anyway, the army has left. Go get it Canada!
