That is not true. When I was raising swine for 4H I taught one of my pigs to sit up and beg for Oreo cookies. When it was sitting up on its hind hams it could look up and see the sky (well it could have seen the sky it was outside and not in the barn looking up at the rafters). Granted, a pigs body is not designed to sit up on its hind haunches like a dog begging for food and it is quite difficult for the pig to maintain that position. Once the little pig got to be bigger I stopped making it beg for cookies because I was afraid that my “little” pig would hurt herself.
A more true statement would be “It is physically impossible for a pig standing on all four feet on level ground to look up into the sky.”
That is true. One of the interesting little pig facts that I picked up while raising the little porkers for 4H was that pigs are the only mammal besides man that will voluntarily become an alcoholic. Pigs have been used in alcoholism studies. I can’t verify the accuracy of the “only mammal besides man part”. I just saw that note in an article I had about pigs and don’t have any references to back it up.
I always wanted to get one of my pigs drunk, but I wasn’t old enough at that time to buy beer.

In Australia, people have to put sunblock on their cats and dogs to protect them if they have them out in the sun, because the UV is so intense Down Under due to the hole over the South Pole in the ozone layer.
Well, on second thought, I guess that doesn’t mean the cats and dogs get sunburned… I suppose it’s possible to get skin cancer from the sun without getting sunburned.
Here is another interesting tidbit of information. According to Klaas’ signature, the person who did the voice of Bugs Bunny is alergic to carrots. heres the signature, “Mel Blanc (the voice of Bugs Bunny) was allergic to carrots.”
