Weirdoe Magnet/There is power in Jesus. (yes, this DOES belong in RSU.. somewhat)

yeah same here i have a friend called luke but ever since he was in grade three (hes in grade 10 now) he got every one to call him jesus it kinda cool

i would ask luke for some force there…
(o:
now that i got the 360º (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/showthread.php?p=498601#post498601), i need the FORCE to complete the 450° and the 540°…
by the way… other things to say to your friend luke/jesus…
“i am your father.”
but he might take that wrong… |o:
ahoHAOhaohOAHoh…

nah hes an atheist

i’ll just go on and guess that means he doesn’t believe in star wars.

nah it means something like you dont belive in any higher authority or being so you suggesting me to say "i am you father"was a way of implying that i was god

that is the heavyist post

cool… any religion with no ‘fathers’ must be the next one i’ll be joining in…

talking about it…
what about scientology?!!

Yeah, my bad. It’s just that when i was a kid, there was so much miseducation and make-believe going around that i didn’t know the difference between the truth and that which made an interesting story. I’m glad to hear that you have it figured out at such a young age. I guess i was just an overly sceptical kid. haha.

I was under the impression that there was no primary source evidence for Jesus, and some possible secondary source evidence, mostly written several years after the fact, so it’s actually still not certain whether Jesus really did exist. It’s in some ways similar to the Robin Hood story, that people think someone probably existed but aren’t sure. And if he did, don’t really know who he was or what actually happened in his life.

Joe

Pssssh, what do YOU know??

You’re just a dumb blonde!

I’m really thinking that this thread belongs in JC (pun intended) even with some secondary mention of unicycling.

I’d start praying for better unicycling skills but I quit talking to imaginary friends many years ago.

People believing in religions is all well and good, i just wish they wouldn’t try and force it on the rest of us. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but i hate it when you see these people on the streets (most of the time getting in your way when you are in a hurry) Preaching about how we are all going to hell if we don’t pray for forgivness for our sin’s or whatever. You can probably tell that i am against religion. Not just christianity but ALL religion. I think that religion causes nothing but trouble, Look what it can do to unicyclist.com. Not to mention all the people that get brainwashed.

As for me? I believe in science, not stories.

Rock on!
Edd

There are people who would suggest that science is just another story. (eg see the ‘sociology of science’). Oh, and Social Constructionists.

Cathy

Brother, preach this elsewhere. We’re trying to have a conversation about the effects of religion on unicycling… not religion in itself.

Anyways… like I said… after talking to that man I DID manage to land a double-crankflip.

Anyone else incorporate their religious beliefs in the practise of this sport?

Why would you do something like that?!
don’t you think they miss ya?!!!
that’s rude.

ok now

i am a catholic ok … and unlike many catholics i consider myself fairly devout in my faith. I tell people that i am unicycling for christ, but i don’t go around preaching after I tell them that … and I must admit one of the few times I prayed about unicycling was to not kill myself attempting a frontflip. (the pic was the worst attempt … http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?userid=71948&cdate=20060430&ctime=043741)

I want to start a group of unicyclists… but call it unicycle for christ and IDK … it would be open to all christians … wait im going to make a new post about this
