I have an entry for Al’s Unicycling Club in the Watkinsville, Georgia Christmas Parade. The parade is on Saturday Dec. 3rd, at 11:00am. Watkinsville is about 50 miles east of Atlanta, just south of Athens (UGA) on highway 441.
If you can make it, you are welcome to ride your uni with us. This is the fourth year we have had an entry and is always a fun event. Main Street Watkinsville is about a mile long, and has a very slight downhill grade. An easy ride for just about anybody.
The parade theme is “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”. 50’s rock 'n roll or Christmas theme costumes would be appreciated.
I was thinking of making two styrofoam 6’ tall Christmas tree cutouts and wearing them as I ride on my Giraffe with a star shaped cap on my head.
Has anyone ever tried anything like this?
I tried wearing one on each side like a sandwich board but it was windy and they blew all over the place. If the wind calms down over the weekend I’ll try it again. If I can’t get it to work I’ll just ride my Chopper-uni.
