i just got a torker lx, but the seat post is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to long 4 me. wat is good to cut it w/? i want to use my hacksaw, but it makes the metal rough, wat’s goo 2 cut it w/?
Hacksaw followed by a file to smooth out the edges.
Pipe cutter followed by a file to smooth out the edges.
Tube cutter is the way to go if u have one. It makes a perfect cut and you can smooth it down nicely with a file like Jerrick said.
I use a reciprocating saw which is even more nasty than a hack saw, just spend some time with a file afterwards though and it will be smooth as silk.

yeah, then you don’t even need to file it… the rough part stays in the tube the whole time anyways
A hack saw will make short work of a cut-off job. Then as has bee mentioned, a file is a great next step.
A tube cutter is generally designed to cut much more soft metal than a galvanized seatpost. I’ve ruined several pipe cutters by trying to cut off seatposts.
