WANTED: fellow poor/chill/fun people to share campsite at NAUCC

Hey all,

I’ve got a campsite at Indian Brave Campgrounds reserved for the whole duration of NAUCC 2013 this summer. The campground looks pretty awesome, it’s got the usual campground amenities plus a huge pool and–best of all–it’s about a 10-minute walk from the NAUCC hub. I want to keep costs down as much as possible and hang out with some fellow chill one-wheeled riders, so I’m seeing if anyone on the forums wants to chill with me for a week.

If at least one person crashes with me, the cost for the whole week is a measly $80/person. (Two people = $50/person, Three = $40/person, Four = PARTY.) I will have a tent for myself+someone and could provide a tent for others if desired. I’ve also got 2 extra sleeping bags. I’m not exactly sure how I will be cooking, but I’ll have some sort of cooking implement and a cooler filled with cold beer (insert standard comment about underage drinking). Hammocks, slacklines, and other fun things are welcome.

If you’re even the tiniest bit interested, PM me here or on facebook (jenni.rinker) to let me know your situation and/or if you need a tent/sleeping bag/etc. I think I’m pretty easy to get along with, and I’ll be helping out at NAUCC a lot so you might not see much of me anyway.

Fantastic idea!

I’d say it’s a bit farther than a 10 minute walk to the Center of Harmony , but it still isn’t far. Seneca Valley High School (used for most events) is another 2 miles (short, but heavy traffic route) or so from there.

I’m not trying to discourage walking. I’m just noting that the road the campground is on wouldn’t be the best for pedestrian traffic. I’ve biked it several times and it’s a 45mph road with some truck traffic at times.

Overall though, Indian Brave Campground is as close as it gets!

Hey jrink,

I haven’t decided whether I’ll be camping or trying to stay in a hotel yet (would prefer to camp, but if I decide to bring my dad as a spectator, I’ll have to get a hotel). If I do decide to camp I’ll probably join you over at the Indian Brave Campground.

I’m only gonna be there Thursday night through Sunday morning, so I might just get my own campsite (unless you feel like prorating the cost :)). I’m gonna try to make a decision by the end of this month.

Hey James!

We’re actually pretty full up on our campsite now, so I would definitely recommend getting your own campsite. Also, I know James Turner is staying at a different campsite that is close to Moraine park, so there might be some more muni-oriented kids up there.
