…and generally take the form of a layout that doesn’t work unless you have your window exactly the same size as theirs when they made it, a few images you’ve seen elsewhere and a guestbook signed by three people.
It probably has a big flashing yellow title on a black background, too…
However I have just remembered this, a node on Everything2 which sums it up far better than I can.

Yes yes, my first ever website was one of those with the leary colours made in notepad and hosted by angelfire shudders. I seem to remember thinking the <blink> parameter to be really, really cool.
Now, in my more grown up world of web design in which I design websites for all kinds of companies and organisations, I ‘forget’ those days…
but deep down inside, I think I still have a hidden fetish for the <blink> command.
