Viscount muni handle

I welded up a muni handle for my Viscount today. I copied the design from another one in the gallery. I’m a novice welder, with a crappy $70 arc welder. I kept burning through the steel tubing. I’ve got some pics in the gallery;

I took it out today and dropped 3 footers until I bent my cranks bad. I even dropped it hard, and didn’t break it. I really like the Viscount. I’ve been using a Miyata since November, and find the Viscount more comfortable than the stock Miyata. It’s heavy though. Now I just have to decide to replace my cranks with Kooka’s or Profiles. The Kooka’s are way cheaper, but the Profiles would be the bomb diggity, yo. cheers, from Joe (Mojoe) in Iowa

Nice project, Joe, thanks for the pix. You welded it backwards, though. It’s like David Maxfield’s Reeder handle on his MUni…it’s left handed.

Cool checkered Van’s, too.

They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, well that may be an overstatement here but it’s nice that my design has been useful to you Mojoe.
