Because of the pandemic many 5 and 10k charity runs went virtual allowing runners to run at a convenient time and record their times and distance online. I was allowed to participate in several over the summer of 2020 as a unicyclist. It was a great way to give back and enjoy my riding.
Moving forward it would be nice if these types of events would open up to cyclists to be able to participate virtualy, it would definitely open up a revenue stream for these organizations, while not having to physically mix runners and cyclists or bicyclists and unicyclists in the same venue.
