Video

Hey guys, i wonder if u could give me some advice please.

I’m Trying to play a video i found on unicyclist.com. U get there by going to Links, then Multi media and then video. The video is called ‘Kris Holm riding on snow’, or something like that. Well, i’ve downloaded it, but when i try to play it i get the message ‘The file Format is invalid’
There are some other vidoes i think i got from the same page, but when i try to play them, i get messages like ‘no suitable decommpressor could be found’
Do i need to download something off the net or what?
Thanks for any help u can offer, as i’m not great with computers, and the answer is probably really obvious.

What operating system are you using? What media player are you using?
I’m running windoze 98 SE and have been able to play the mpeg with
Windoze Media Player 6.4 and 7. If you need windoze media player, you
can download it from microsoft.com. Try downloading the movie again in
case it got corrupted during the download. If that doesn’t work and
you’re running Windoze, go to add/remove programs in the control panel and
uninstall windoze media player, and download it to reinstall it.

i tried a long time ago to get that "riding in the snow"video and every time i would download it my computer would freeze up.

all the other videos were fine but that one would just freak out my whole computer and i’d have to turn it off.an restart

The Kris-in-Snow film had a simmilar effect on mine- the image would wonder outside the frame, rapidly covering the hole screen in image fragments. This often lead to system instability. Apparently, praying to Evil Gods for unicycle skills has it’s price. Not a bad trade.
