Video problems on Mac.

Well, I’m using my mac, and am the happy jobs-groupie I always was, but I’m having problems with gallery movies on my computer recently. Most are Windows Media, which I kind of hate even when it does work, but I can stand that. However, I keep having problems where it says it doesn’t support the codec. I have windows media 9, and I’ve checked the site for updates, but there’s nothing there. So, what shall I do? there have been a variety of movies I want to watch, but I haven’t been able to see the majority of them. For example, I can’t see kaycee’s movie.

Any help? anybody know where I can download mor codecs or something?

well easy problem to fix. i have mac so i understand the problem with the inferior windows media player and its problems. So there is a way to help fix the whole codec thing…all you need is DivX


there is a url to the site, go to the bottom and click on free download, this will help with codec but the whole slow buffering, well the only way to fix that is to get a faster comp.

aso does anyone on this orum feel that windows mediaplayer is the worst videolaying program ever? my friends all have C’s and they cant stand

either that or download VLC Media player. It plays all forms of media. ALL.
I just download the videos that WMP or quicktime can’t play because of codec problems and watch them on VLC.

I have VLC, but it was being totally lame and not working, so I’ve been using windows media.

I’ll go check the divx.

Ok, I tried both, and my VLC doesn’t work at all for wmv, and I can get kaycee’s video on windows media now, but not kapoute’s. weird.

A good thing is that while I was downloading the vids I was getting 690 k per second, which is hella fast.
