Today i went indoor skydiving and go a DVD of my flight but the files on the disk are .vob. I need to get them so that Sony Vegas Pro 8 will read them. I tried to convert the file but it won’t let me. I also saved it as a MPEG and i still am unable to edit it. Youtube won’t let me upload it as it is. I can watch the video on my computer now though.
Use www.media-convert.com to convert it to a different file. Surely one will work.
Find a free dvd ripper and rip the dvd to your hardrive, then use an encoder to change the dvd file type into one playable file like mp4, mov, avi or whatever you choose. There are lots of good rippers and encoders, so just google search real quick and find some to try out.
You can also encode right from the dvd, but its quicker to access files from your harddrive than from a dvd.
