Here’s a video that urban Coker riders might be able to relate to.
Fiat commercial
Sweet…
I’d never touch a car unless it was a parked moving van. From long history, I assume anyone driving a car is out to get me.
aww!
I was going for the bike guy.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHASHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
HAHAHA!!! Sucker!!!
The other day I was sitting at a cross walk with my coker, and a guy and his friend took about a million pictures of me with a camera phone. Then when I took off, the guy almost fell out of his car trying to take more pics of me as I left.
That’s brilliant! And just when I was loosing faith in ads.
Andrew
that ad’s been on SA tv for probably about two years now
what’s it’s release status in the rest of the world?
edit: and on the same site, a video called 'CrazyUnicycling that i can’t get to play
can someone tell me what it is?
It’s the Universe II Trailer…
I hadn’t seen it before.
We don’t have fiat dealerships over here so there is no point in playing their commercials in the US. That looks to be a UK commercial because of the right-hand side drive car.
The drive on the left side of the road in SA too.
And New Zealand, Australia, India, Japan, several other Asian countries, and several other African countries. But the commercial looked UKish. It certainly didn’t look like Japan or India.
thanx
but isn’t that the right side?
Seems like Colonialism is generally the root cause of a country’s Left or Right orientation… Except I can’t quite figure out Japan.
here’s an interesting discussion on the issue
this entry contains some examples of border crossing where u have to switch and mentions the countries that have switched sides
not the kind of change u do gradually
That’s a cool article- especially the photo of the streets with arrows painted on them from the six weeks argentina had control over the Falkland Islands, and the photograph from the day that Sweden “switched sides”… Very Cool.
My parents just got back from a 4 month trip to New Zealand. My dad had the fun job of learning how to drive on the left with a RHD car. Now that he’s back home he’s been turning on the windshield wipers instead of the turn signal.
Here’s a quote that I liked from one of GILD’s articles:
The correct side.
Do you have a guess as to whether the commercial was produced in the UK or SA? I’m guessing UK, but it’s very hard to tell just by looking at the commercial. Can you make a guess based on the license plates?

mmm, tried to watch it again to check and it wouldn’t play
i’ll try again later
as i recall tho, it wasn’t south african
