your camera is relatively new isn’t it? is it still under warranty?

Sony recall
Sony had a voluntary recall put out recently (meaning, they only replace it if something stops working) including your model. Image gets distorted, mostly if you’ve been using it in hot and/or humid conditions (I’ve got 2 affected cameras in my family, but they’re still working).

Hey, thanks for the heads up! I’ll contact Sony with a sample of the problem I’m having and see if they can help me free of charge.
I do live in a hot and humid area and come to think of it, the problem only arose at the start of this summer.
