I guess you didn’t get the underlying message. I mean, I didn’t either, but I’m pretty sure there was one… I think…

something about selfishness mabey

heres another short
http://cgtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=214043

the message was obviously that all clay dudes balancing on a platform are rotten bastards.

except the last one, I think. the question is, what made him different? why was he the chosen one? and was his fate the better of the other clay dudes? is it better to survive, but be stuck on one end with the box on the other end for eternity, or is it better to die and not suffer the alternative? so many questions…

I was too lazy to watch the while thing… it was boring.

what sorry didnt catch that that movie made my A.D.D go insane

it depends… does the box get cable?

ohh, you should have, the end was the best part.

hmm, good question. Another good one is: does he have the remote? I mean, if the box was at one end, he was at the other end, and the remote was in the middle, or worse, nonexistent, that would also be a horrible fate.

maybe the moral is life without a tv(but with weird claymation dudes) is far better than life with a tv but no remote (or claymation dudes)

yes, I think that must be it. so join the movement!! jump off the floating board and leave that one guy that no one likes to not be able to watch TV for eternity!! hahaha!

It made me think. But I’m not sure about what.

I loved it. It was surreal and off-beat. Hey, I bet dogbowl liked it.

The last guy might be able to get himself out of his predicament by moving toward the center of the platform until the box fell off. Then he would have to scramble directly to the center in order to re-balance the platform (a dangerous maneuver which might topple the platform). But… what good would it do him? No matter what he does, he is still in his self-created prison of limited movement. If he gets rid of the box, he cannot move far from the center of the platform. So, he is probably better off leaving the box where it is and staying at the edge. At least the view is better. And he can sit with his legs dangling over the side, which is more comfortable than sitting in the middle of the platform.

Lastly, maybe these people try to kill you whenever they are given the chance. So maybe the last guy acted out of self-defense. He traded “freedom” of movement * for a safe and solitary existence.

    • his “freedom” of movement is part illusory. His movements are often reactionary. When one person moves and unbalances the platform, the others have to respond in a forced reactionary movement in order to re-balance the platform. This is hardly freedom. But maybe they do not see the folly of their life (as perhaps we do not see ours). There are forces in life that cause us to react in a certain way… yet we perceive our (re-)actions as an exercise of our free will.

Okay, I’ve squeezed as much meaning as possible from that film.
