Velo Sadle sold out already?

Humm… thought they didn’t go on sale 'tell the 10th of December… now the sign says ‘come back in January, some time’.

Ah, well… whatever. I think I’ll go outside and play.

-Christopher

maybe they only had 3 of them:)…

That’s OK. You didn’t want the first manufacturing run anyways.

oh wait wait wait, look at that-------------->,i just noticed on the Kris Holm unicycles that they stuck in the word approximately inbetween debut and Dec10th…ha ha ha haa

Don’t know for sure, but I heard that they were recalling some of the KH seats to put a stiffener plate in to reduce flex in the handle…

Erin

Woe is me…I wanted one for Christmas.

:frowning:

Oh well, I suppose I’ll wait and buy one myself “approximately January 15th”.

If they really are putting stiffener plates in them, I guess I’d rather wait and get one that’s better.

Oh well.

Can anyone confirm this? All I heard is that the early prototypes had
more flex in the handle. Don’t know what exactly was done to improve
it.

Re: Re: Velo Sadle sold out already?

i only ever heard about the first production run having flex problems, the ones without the handle.

the newer ones with the handles have been about in the u.k. for a while, i’ve been using one on my freestyle unicycle for a while now with no problems,

the model i have has the same or less flex than regular miyata,

it is noticably more flexy than a viscount but i think thats a good thing.

i’d say its just a roumor started by people who own cf base miyatas.

just like us bitter old people who bought profiles and then were unreasonably sceptical about onza and norco hubs. only to be wrong.

Re: Velo Sadle sold out already?

The seats on the Norco unicycles right now have the Kris Holm seats without
the metal base that will be in the next shipment of seats. The metal base is
being put in to reduce the flex in the seat.
There is not a “recall”. This addition is to improve them.

The Onza hubs have been twisting. At Unicon this year, the Onza riders own
hubs were twisting.
As for Norco, when they are released, we will see.
Anyone with a Profile set should be really happy.

Re: Re: Velo Sadle sold out already?

Anyone know if the plate will be made available to existing owners? If it is an internal stiffening plate this would mean ripping apart the seat to install it, something I’m not willing to do. If it was an external plate then it would be a 5 minute job to install (but wouldn’t look as neat).

Have fun!

Graeme

Now for the big question…
If the seats need to be reworked/redesigned, does this mean that the price will go up too?

I’ve got one and had no problems, but a mate thinks he’d be better off with a Miyata. Does any1 have an old Miyata seat they might want to sell even if it is proper battered.

Even if it’s green ?

yeah, why?
have you got one you’d sell?
