Great.
sweet. i didnt like the music … but thats personal preference.
Great as always
Now that’s a skinny! I wonder what it’d be like to ride along something like that @ 1:18:o
You guys are practicing trials more now? Cause you’ll need it if you come down this may =).
haha cool vid frank, if your going to film more next time then ill get my ride on:D
next time we will film and i will also get my trials on!
Good video, and I like how you try to follow with the camera and stuff, but because of that, it can be kinda shaky, or get a little close sometimes. So just watch your distance with it.
If you are editing with adobe premiere, you should get 2d3 steady move, and sue that one your clips. Smooths out lots, if not all the shakes and gives nice smooth film.
Good job on the hop off, Bry!
Sean
I’m not sure how he does it, but DH runs along in some shots in Defect and they are smooth.
Edit: What I did notice is he holds the tripod? folded up instead of the camera itself.
well dan is actually using a camera where frank has a digi cam;)
if a camera is on the end of a pole (say a folded up tripod) it tends to be stabler and the video shakes alot less.
Re music
Music is hard. I wanted the video to be fast/short.
Re now thats a skinny
Bryan asked if the skinny was slippery. When its that skinny, traction is pretty good. Justin’s not just riding on it; he’s doing a substantial hop from it. He tried it to rubber too.
Re Danni, practicing trials
We’ve got a lot of natural trials, which is good practice for muni. Are you organizing a ride in Calgary?
Justin/Bry ‘get your ride on’.
I called the vid Sci Fi, but its at Science World, and I can only name so many videos that. But also cuz it was a glimpse of the future of vanuni.
When I showed my son John the video, he said we should have done the roof in the playground.
Re hop off
Both managed close to 7 ft. I must remember my tape measure next time.
After winning by a hair, Justin did a rolling backward hop of about 4 ft.
Re following wheel cam
I like these shots, but it means I’m stumbling over the same obstacles as the rider.
I got a good non-rider comment from a cute girl
Can I ride on your handle bars?
Here’s Justin’s longest hop
haha man, i didnt realize cleared it by that much, thanks for the pic
Nice shoes, Justin.
I know. I do it a little when I am filming too. The plug-in still takes out the bumps and really makes a difference. Ill record somthing in the next day or two and show it to you.
It would be interesting to see a before/after. But I’m just using Movie Maker, so I wouldnt be able to use the premier plugin, eh
I’ll just try to hold the camera a little more steady when following people.
