Using aids for getting on giraffe

I have a 5 foot giraffe that I can barely get on.

It takes me 25-50 attempts if I can get on it andand most of the time I
can’t.

So I’m wondering if any of you have had success with any aids to get on
the giraffe (besides a wall or a car which I will use if I have one
available).

I’m envisioning a pair of sticks that I could use to support me as I
get about 3/4 of the way up on the giraffe (which is usually as far as
I get). The sticks would need rubber feet or something for traction to
the ground. Ideally, I’d like them to be telescopic so that I could
hold them while riding. Better yet, if I could easily muont them
underneath my uni (on the saddle stem) while riding that would be cool.

Is there a product that is made for giraffe riders that would work
something like this?

repetition.

keep trying, figure out why (or how) you are falling, and ‘attempt’ to countact that as you try next time.

you’ll probably have it figured out before you make your aids!

you’ve already done it you say, so that’s the best part!

(try lowering your seat slightly until you have the mounts mastered)

Not that you’ll figure it out before you make your aids, but you’ll be a lot happier you’re not carrying them around all the time like a pair of crutches.

There are plenty of threads in here about giraffe-mounting. A 5-footer is a lot easier than a 6-footer. Give yourself a chance to get the mount down and you’ll be riding high, hands-free.
