Out of curiousity what can a person expect to spend for a used 36".
Been watching the forums and ebay, don’t see very many of them.
Is that because they don’t sale well ?

no it’s because once you have one you never want to let it go
spec can vary so massively that you may have to be a bit more specific, some 36ers retail for twice as much as others. 'fraid I can’t help you much as prices over here bear no relation to the other side of the pond
I sold mine to Tim Morin and have regretted it ever since
Some riders are going to get new Cokers soon
So if you wait till around Jan. , there may be some used Radials for sale. Delivery is in Dec. I think.
Especially if the the supply of 36 hole alum rims stays dry. Then the best (maybe only) , way for someone like me, with a steel wheel Radial to upgrade would be to buy a new uni.
I’m not considering it myself for a long while. It’s flat here and the cheap Radial is working fine for me. But I am sure there are some better riders who are going to get that nice alum Coker. So someone might part with their old Radial for around 200 $ , I would guess. Figuring you can get a new one for 340 $, with free shipping here.

I think folks with the better wheel setups will hold onto them.
I paid £150 for mine - it’s a standard QuAx 36 (the old type, like the original Coker Big One), apart from a UDC extra wide hub and a KH saddle. It had only done 400 miles and the new price at the time was something like £230 I think (with standard hub and nasty saddle).
They don’t seem to come up for sale very often, but then I suppose there are relatively few around compared with trials and muni.

Dude!
How can a big (Canadian) Hollywood movie mogul say that??
Just buy another chrome plated $10,000 souped up 36", better than the last one, so all the bikini clad girls who constantly hang around your big house can pose with it to promo your next big DVD!
Regret is for little people!
And this thread belongs on Rec.Sport, where I wouldn’t be revealing all this about our good Brian.

A 36er to me is like a drug you can’t get off. It’s like once you start riding, it becomes a part of you in someway. Which is probably why people don’t or won’t sell them.
Also the reason why i gave my modded coker to my little cousin is because he couldn’t afford a new one. So being the friendly person i am. I gave it to him but i also said that he should look after it like i did and check it regularly. If there was a problem he would notify me about it though which is also good cause that means i get to ride it to see what’s wrong with it.
I found one on craigs list for $200 in “great shape” (or so he said). I went to look at it and it had a dryrotted tire, and a wheel out of true.
Offered him 160 because it was not in “great shape” and he took it.
trued up the wheel ( does not fit in my stand) and now I have been loving it.
I have been looking on Craigslist for the last few months.
