Usa! Usa! Usa! #1 Again!!!

Yes, but according to those statistics since I’m white my chance is lower! How about we make a reality show of killing them? We should put them on an island/ obstacle course and see who wins! The prize is your life! It’s a win win situation!

Got this email earlier today, thought I’d share it…

E-Mail of the Year!!

WOULDN’T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?

My fellow Americans:
As you know, the defeat of the Iraq regime has been completed. Since Congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is now complete.

This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now to begin the reckoning. Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed there.

The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the world’s nations are on that list. My Press Secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.
Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely.

The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraq war. The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell-holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.

Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.
In the future, together with Congress, I will work to re-direct this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.

Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France or maybe China.
To Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Yo, boys. Work out a peace deal now. Just note that Camp David is closed. Maybe all of you can go to Russia for negotiations. They have some great palaces there. Big tables, too.

I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all you help comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon Chance, mes amis.
I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed.

I don’t care about what ever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers, and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York!

A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on list 2. Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might not want to try pissing us off for a change.
Mexico is on list 2. President Fox and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I will have a couple extra tanks and infantry divisions sitting around.

Guess where I’m going to put em? Yep, border security. So start doing something with your oil.
Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty - starting now. We are tired of the one-way highway.

It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying “darn tootin.”
Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet.

It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. It is time to eliminate World Cup Soccer from America.

To the nations on list 1. A final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you and we won’t forget.

To the nations on list 2. A final thought. Drop dead. God Bless America Thank you and goodnight.

If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading this in English, thank a soldier.

Oh, I forgot this part:

<Immediately, we’ll be drilling for oil in Alaska- which will take care of this country’s oil needs for decades to come If you’re an environmentalist who opposes this decision, I refer you to List 2 above: pick a country and move there . >

And just to be clear, I didn’t write this or the stuff in the previous post, nor do I necessarily agree with some or any of it. Just putting it out there for your parousal.

But what does that have to do with people in jail?

Nothing specifically, I just thought it would sort of fit in with the thread title, "Usa! Usa! Usa! #1 Again!!! (at least in the literal sense)

I am baffled by the statistics…because I find that americans are incredibly law-abiding people.
Only in America can you find processes that just start by being confident in your honesty …
So I keep wondering about paradox: is a too high esteem of law leading too many people towards harsh punishment, or are there two systems living together?
I don’t know about inner city petty crime but those contradictions are flagrant when it comes to corporate crime: corporations are desperatly trying to teach “good practices” but many current business practices are an incentive to damnation

The money generated by highly profitable companies like Corrections Corporation of America and GEO Group may influence the number of prisoners. They donate to political campaigns, employ citizens in places where unemployment is HIGH, build the prisons to make profit for the very wealthy (The richest 1% of USA has captured more than half of the nation’s total income growth since 1993–very cool!).

Even with USA incarcerating 25% of the world’s prisoners, USA still has FOUR TIMES the murder rate of most Western European nations. USA is so far ahead of the rest of you in so many ways, it’s hard not to brag.

DOn’t forget, among industrialized nations, USA is also #1 in rate of childhood poverty! USA! USA! USA! #1 AGAIN!!! It’s almost 20% in the USA! If you’re unicycling, chances are we’ve got your nation beat by so much, it’s laughable!

Low income kids attend underperforming schools, where the kids are prepared for nothing, except crime.

Maybe USA is #1 in producing prisoners because USA starts prisoner production early, actually at the pre-natal stage (because your nation probably also doesn’t have nearly USA’s infant and maternal mortality. That is, USA lets MORE of it’s infants and mothers die than YOUR nation!! Can you stand it? Can you stand that fact that USA has you beat in so many ways???

USA understands how to produce prisoners. USA understands that, like a fine wine, being the #1 prisoner producer in the world requires time and planning.

Other nations will never catch up to USA!!! And 8 years of Bush has pushed USA so much farther ahead of every nation, I’m flipping over backwards with pride! I wish he could run for 8 more years! USA! USA! USA!

I think that BillyTheMountain-satire is the 8th Wonder of the World.

Regarding the pasted text posted earlier treating the Iraq “war” (more like occupation) like we’re on the high moral ground for waging it, I have this to say.

Imagine a few American nut-jobs who escape from some asylum, clean themselves up, become pilots, hijack some planes in the Middle East, and fly into some high-profile Iranian building.

Iran responds by attacking Canada head-on, destroying its government, and killing upwards of a million innocent civilians.

Would you expect the world to look favorably on Iran after that?

Would you expect the world to look favorably on Iran if that original attack against Iran was very likely perpetrated by its own government and not the insane American nutjobs like originally thought?

Chuck, you’re a great guy, but I gotta be straight with you. You don’t look good in a tin foil hat. Really, drop the whole conspiracy-theorist act. The chicks aren’t digging on it.

Yeah he was doing well to then. I’m not going to debate the consipracy theory, but chucking it in at the end there reduced the credibility of an otherwise pretty sound argument.

Not to derail this topic, but whoever wrote that list seems to be ignorant of the fact that foreign aid is good for america. We’re not just pouring money into countries without asking for anything in return.

Anyone who doesn’t know why people protest the WTO, NAFTA, and World Bank should find out more about how these fiends operate.

(The fact that someone actually wrote that “email” really does scare the hell out of me)

I’ll offer some responses to the speech by Rush Limbaugh (posted by MuniAddict). At least it sounds like Rush…

“As you know, the defeat of the Iraq regime has been completed. Since Congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is now complete.”

Don’t you mean “accomplished”? That was in 2003. Since then the “Iraq regime” has been the U.S. and the puppet Iraqi government. I think the best way to un-puppet that government is for us to take our hand out of the puppet. Not to walk away, but to require the Iraqi government and forces to start taking charge, not do all the work while they watch. But hey, our current president’s friends make a lot more money if we do all the work.

Anyway, that’s offered as a way to deal with the mess we’re already in. We should have given it more thought before invading this country that was not connected to 9/11 in the first place.

“The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraq war.”

If that’s actually true it would be slightly tempting. I wonder how many years to pay off our national debt?

“The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell-holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.”

You mean the American government, right? Because the people can spend their own money however they choose. I think we may also be #1 in charitable giving.

“On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.”

Yeah, like that Osama guy. We sure showed him, didn’t we!

“I don’t care about what ever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers, and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York!”

No argument there. I’ll stand on the side of the road and applaud.

“Guess where I’m going to put em? Yep, border security. So start doing something with your oil.”

Like hoarding it. If we won’t be getting any from the Middle East the price will skyrocket. You ain’t seen nothing yet.

“Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet.”

Correction: blunders like the invasion of Iraq should not be confused with “trying to help folks live a decent life.” That’s not what the Iraq war was about. What was it supposed to be about again? Oh yeah, revenge for 9/11. People still flock here from around the world. They don’t hate us that much.

“It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. It is time to eliminate World Cup Soccer from America.”

I think I detect a hidden agenda in there…

“Immediately, we’ll be drilling for oil in Alaska- which will take care of this country’s oil needs for decades to come”

No it won’t. If you start immediately, it will still take years before the price starts coming back down from the $15 a gallon or so it would reach the day after you cut off the foreign oil. It took more than 10 years to build the Alaskan Pipeline, remember? Hopefully some of that money we’re saving can also be put toward alternative energy sources.

Anyway, thanks for the laughs, Rush. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. Fortunately the American President is (supposedly) balanced by the two other branches of government.

I’m sad to say, the USA just fell behind in CO2 production.

China now No. 1 CO2 offender

Billy, what can we do about this?

I’m heading out to chop down some trees…

Don’t forget to burn them. Just cutting isn’t enough.

I am.

There is one fatal flaw in the 9/11 conspiracy theory. We’d need the means to pull off the entire event flawlessly and have every single person involved keep their lips shut. You must have incredible faith in our government if you think they can pull that off.

Lets say the US was behind 9/11. One of the big things that conspiracy theorists like to drag out is WTC 7 which collaposed despite not being directly hit (by an airplane at least). WHY WOULD WE KNOCK DOWN A BUILDING KNOWING THAT EVERYONE WOULD QUESTION WHY IT HAPPENED??!!

To see every 9/11 conspiracy theory argument fail:
http://www.debunking911.com/

Do you also have a site for the gulf of tonkin conspiracy theory myths?

On that site, I didn’t see the debunking of the failure of the government to scramble fighter jets to these airplanes. The most basic 9/11 conspiracy theory is that the government had knowledge that something was happening and then deliberately failed to act.

My town is the Number one Producer of disabled people, they even have their own little villages.

This recent article points out how they wrongly give non criminals a criminal record, locking them out of lawful employment and guaranteeing they become criminals, to keep the prisons full:

"Levine’s study found that 60 percent of those arrested [in NYC] on misdemeanor pot charges since 1997 didn’t have prior criminal records. Levine’s study found that 60 percent of those arrested on misdemeanor pot charges since 1997 didn’t have prior criminal records. …Levine argues that this costly enforcement strategy ultimately causes only more problems by “socializing” young blacks and Latinos to the jail culture and making a life of crime more likely, because many places where these young men might otherwise find employment don’t hire those with criminal records.

Marijuana pinches are generally easy and safe, and they provide overtime while giving the appearance of productivity, he says. And who’s easier to arrest: young and poor black and Latino men, who Levine says “usually lack the political and social connections that might make the arrests troublesome or embarrassing for the police,” or white college kids whose parents can probably afford lawyers who make a living picking apart weak cases?"

Yes, the drug war is very racist.
