[Devil’s advocate]
Maybe their system is entirely automated, and has trouble processing certain images? If they can’t tell if an image is right side up or not, I can understand having a problem.
The response fax could have been automated too.

The problem is when you turn the machine upside down to receive the fax, it unsettles the toner.
Maybe someone should patent an idea to fix that!
If you read the follow up article that is the case.
Yes it is.
It’s just really puzzling that they have an automated system which recognises that an image is upside-down, but instead of simply flipping it it sends an automated response saying that the said image is upside-down. In programming terms, recognising that an image is upside-down is a much harder task than flipping the image.
I just don’t understand it!
Never underestimate the power of stupidity.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former. (Albert Einstein)
Klaas-
If you’re having so much trouble, just send your FAX to somewhere in the southern hemisphere. Gee, I thought you were smarter than that.
I got my Klaas Bil inclinometer out today. I wanted to measure rough level of a water line.
This is patently stupid
