Sorry, sorta misled you all on this one. But we just purchased it last week and it’s one of the nicest things we’ve had in a long, long time. Mary is in love with the heated leather seats and I’m in love with the 4x4 deer retrieval capability.
Illinois pickup truck license plates have to be numbers followed by letters so I applied for “1 WHEEL”. Hope I get it.

UFP or my username DJM.
Have fun Bruce and good luck driving that Pickup.

P.s. I have change my Avatar from a Rolls Royce to a Subaru if you notice. I love Rolls Royces too.
It’s interesting to read the different makes of cars on your list. I’ve never heard of a Holden and we had a Ford Falcon when I was a kid in the mid '60s. Gotta think that it’s not quite the same as the one back then. I also remember my dad’s International Scout, a square box Jeep type vehicle that he used to plow the snow of their motel parking lot '60s.
Somewhere back in the shadows of my mother’s heritage, a distant relative of hers, Mr. Rolls, joined with a Mr. Royce to form a car company. I suppose that’s why I drive a Chevy.
Our cars here is on the Right hand side (The Steering Wheel) and we drive on the left hand side of the road.
The Fords here are different than the American ones, but we do have the American Ford Mustangs here and the Cougars and the F250’s too. I’ll try to get a Aussie made Ford Falcon and a Holden Commodore up on this site for everyone to see.
Edit: mine is the one on the Left, and yes, the license plate is STITCH. The other car is my friend’s 626. It looks very similar to mine and he also has custom tags (though I smudged it out).
Cool Mazda’s Daniel. But I like the one in the Foreground of that picture. A Silver Duel Cab Pickup. By The Way If Bruce is reading this. Us Australians Had a Chevy Suburban but with a Re-badge name by Holden. Holden discontinued the Suburban in the year 2000. Between 1998 to 2000 they were shipping to Australia from America.
WOW. Its really cool seeing all the different cars in different contries. Here in the UK, we have mostly Small cars.
I notice that Holden in Australia, is the same as Vauxhall in the UK, and Opel in Europe. We have the Vauxhall Corsa, which you call the Holden Barina. We also have the Astra, Vectra and Zafira. You class The Vectra as a Medium car. In Uk, that would be classed as a Large car.
You also have the most cool pickups. I wish that there was better cars here in the UK!!! Im really into cars!
Your cars are much more powerful that ours, and look so good to. I want to import a pick up!
If not, I would like one of these… A toyota Previa (with body kit:D )
My Chevy Avalanche is built on a Suburban frame. I love the truck’s versatility but now the fuel prices in America are on the rise. I only commute 15 miles to work each way so it’s probably not a big deal.
Thanks for the pictures. I’m going to send the picture of the Ford Falcon to my dad since we used to own one.
You are right on cue There. Our Holden Commodore is base on a Vauxhall Omega. The Astra, Vectra & Zafira we got here right now.
The Toyota Tarago as well as that one in the Picture too. Even Ford Brought out the Mondeo, Probe, Capri, (Late 1960’s to 70’s)
Escort, Cortina, Telstar, TX5, And the Aussie built Laser but base on a Mazda 323. (There’s a joke side on that - "What car does Tarzan drive; A Mazda Tree to Tree.) Us Australians seen different cars each Monthly every year. The Dearest car on the road is The Rolls Royce Phantom at $925.000. I read motor magazines regualry and Newspapers on Auto’s alot. I like to keep up to date on what’s going on in the Motoring Industry.
Here’s the Car I Currently Driving. The Subaru Liberty.
We bought a Holden in NZ and sold it 10 months later for almost the same price. It was a great little car but it always wanted to drive on the wrong side of the road. It needed some engine work… someone accidentally dropped a ladder on it and the insurance money paid for the engine work. The stuffing in the seats was always lacking quite a bit but that car took us all over the North Island.
the perfect unicycle van is the new microbus ( VWvan) they took the old toaster van and made it freaking awsome www.vw.com and then go to concept cars.
I’m with you Joe. I’m into Restoring Cars myself. My first one will be a 1966 Ford Falcon XP. We had one and it was a beautiful car to drive. If not It will be a Ford Spinner. I love British Cars too as much as the U.S. Cars too. I love them all. Particular the Jaguar’s, Bentley’s, Rolls Royce’s, BMW’s Range Rover’s and of cause Rover’s too. My father is a Ford Man and I am too, But I might be Fuzzy and change my liking. It may not happen.
