Unicyclists on TV, BTN ( Behind the News )

Hey everyone!

Behind the News, a tv program on the abc here in Australia, came in to our school to talk to us and to film us of our unicycling. I thought that they put it together quite well.

It was very enjoyable and hopefully more people will realise that unicycling isn’t just for the circus

enjoy.

What a fantastic little report! I used to love this show back when I was in primary school and I’m sure you’ve just inspired a whole new generation to learn. Kudos

That is one well put together little report.

So that’s what you two looks like.

Nice! I liked it.

Nice going you guys!

But how the heck did I get on there, lol! I’m in the first couple clips doing drops, starting at :25!

we didn’t know that they were going to do that! lol. well i think they did a bit of a search on youtube, and they must of came accross some of your footage, to show the mountain type of unicycling?

Yeah, that’s what I figured, lol. You guys did a great job, and congrats on the TV exposure!

Cool!

That was sweet !

Can’t watch it cause my internet fails with the player :frowning:

That was a great report. But I was wondering too if they asked Terry for permission. Maybe it isn’t necessary, though. I don’t know.

I think once a video is on youtube, you can download it directly from yotube, and use it without permission, but I’m not sure on that. If not, I don’t think they’d have that option to download it, or at least they’d put a proviso in plain sight. Also, I probably wouldn’t have a case since I use other parties copyright music-as many of us do-in my videos. Besides, I’d never been to Australia before, so it was a fun trip, lol! :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously, there could be some situations where using someone else’s videos/likeness would be illegal, like if they were trying to profit from it, pass it off as their own intellectual property, or use it to falsely smear and/or defame someone.

join the club haha

i missed that… but yup, its Terry. No doubt you’re in the wikipedia under muni.

Great story. Always good to see mainstream media get the proper message across.

Really good video. Unicycling needs more coverage like this!

hmmm u wouldnt believe this but i was flicking channels on friday afternoon and i came across BTN just about to start a repeat of this. it was lucky as hell timing and i saw the whole thing on TV. in terms of the stuff that was said, it was really good! im not such a fan of the occasional corny set-up shots tho haha

If you are using Internet Explorer try using Mozilla Firefox (vice-versa) If that fails then I will be uploading it to youtube anyway this week some time.

I saw that. Great work.
