Sounds like a new one to me, but my wife told me she recently saw a cool
Christmas decoration on TV: It’s a wire track that you attach to your Christmas
tree up near the top (if I understood her correctly) on which a small Santa
unicycles laps around the tree. They eveidently said nothing about how to get
one, though.
The Christmas decoration is made by Mr. Christmas and is available in Ohio at
the Andersons for $49.99.

AAARGH! I want one! I want one! Everybody please keep your eyes and ears open to
find out more about this little gizmo!
As far as Santa on a unicycle is concerned, I think the idea is old. I have many
illustrations and other depictions of Santa Clauses on unicycles; on greeting
cards (see the Summer/Fall 1982 USA NEWSLETTER), Christmas ornaments (one year,
Al Hemminger did his whole Christmas tree in unicycle ornaments, including more
than one Santa) and in other places I can’t remember. I think there was also a
Santa version of the unicycling toilet paper dispenser (where a guy rides a
unicycle on top of the roll as you pull off your needed supply).
