Unicycling & Pumpkins

Hello!!!

Has anyone ever tried to carve a unicycle into a pumpkin for halloween? I am
thinking about doing it this year, but has no idea what to use as a pattern.
Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

I did once, but I ruined all my tools. Especially look out for the ultra-hard
chrome on those old Schwinns…

Oh dear God!!! You might want to carve the pumpkin instead of the unicycle. Just
kidding, I know what you mean. I’m afraid I’m no good at carving pumpkins and
don’t know where you would begin. It seems like a pretty difficult task.

Re: Unicycling & Pumpkins

My wife has a pumpkin with some plywood things stuck into it to make it look
like a turkey. I would try this aproach. Make a plywood unicycle/stand and
attach a pumpkin to the top of it, perhaps carving a character or stick in
arms/head or a second pumpkin on top for a head.

Re: Unicycling & Pumpkins

Start with a Xeroxed Stencil of a unicycle, sized to fit on your pumpkin. Tack
it to the pumpkin, cut through the stencil into the Pumpkin. Works with any
stencil. )–(x) Barb K.

How bout using the pumkin as the wheel and adding a saddle and pedals. Could
also try carving out a spoke pattern in the squash. At christmas in your house
do you decorate a uni and pile the pressies underneath? A tinsel decced uni
could look very nice I’m sure. ( in my house we have a christmas begonia rather
than a christmas tree.)
