Unicycling at Around the Bay Festival 2011

Bicycle Victoria are holding a cycling festival in conjunction with the annual Around the Bay in a Day bike ride. The festival will be held on Sunday 16th October 2011 at the Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne (Australia). Unicyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to play a demo game of uni hockey. We will also hold a tricks session, we will have access to the Riverslide skate park for street riding. Flatland and freestyle riders are also invited to participate. I will provide a more precise time and location closer to the date.

I hope to have as many unicyclists attend as possible. It will be a great opportunity for us to showcase our sport.

The hockey should be held near the boat sheds (next to the river, along the bike path). We are looking at a start time around 12:30pm.

Hope to see you down there!

Here is another bump and a reminder that tomorrow is also Ride2Work day here in Aus.

Not too late to register at http://ride2work.com.au/

Hopefully there will be a few uni’s out and about.

Thank you for the reminder.

On the radio here in Melbourne Jon Faine and Sean Micallef were discussing Ride 2 Work Day. Sean suggested two wheels were too many, you only needed one. Jon said he did not believe him, Sean retorted he had seen a few unicycles getting around the city.

Time for a mass ride past the Southbank studios?:stuck_out_tongue:
