Austin, Texas. 4103 Slaughter Lane, Austin ~ (512) 480-9821. Joggers and
cars are not allowed on this paved loop through Austin’s hill country. Part
of the Slaughter Creek Metropolitan Park, the Veloway is a winding loop, 3.1
miles long, through more than 100 acres of parkland. The course includes a
couple of modest declines, one steep incline and a couple modest inclines.
The Veloway is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset, and features
slow and fast lanes for those who want to cruise and those who want to fly.
Located near the Wildflower Research Center. Take Mo-Pac (1) south past
Slaughter about 1/4 mile and turn left.

Thanks Scott,

Austin is in my travel path once in a while. I’ll look you up if I head that way.

And those 20 rep squats. Will they help my cramping calves?
Will ANYTHING help my cramping calves? They seem to be my weakest link, and slowest to improve.

Heh. Doing high-rep squats, your blood turns to acid then it catches on
fire. Compared to a hard set of twenty, muscle cramps just don’t hurt that
much.

Maybe. I recommend squats and deadlifts. Also bananas and water -
dehydration and/or potassium deficiency causes a lot of cramps.
