Unicycle Withdrawal

Has anybody ever not had or had access to a unicycle and experienced withdrawal? I only had one small savage 20" but now that it is broken, I’m going crazy. All I can do is watch videos obsessively and browse these forums as frequently as possible. Also, this comes at a time when I am just getting back into unicycling, so seeing all these videos and not being able to try stuff out is so frustrating! I hopefully will be getting a Kris Holm Freeride on Christmas, but until then, I don’t know what I’ll do. Only 3 more weeks… I’d better not lose interest after all that time.

wat did you break on your savage? a bike shop most of the time can fix a uni.

I don’t really care about it anymore. I got it for Christmas probably 5 years ago, and the part where the seat goes in is warped. Also the whole thing is very rusty, so I’d reather just buy a new unicycle than try to repair it.

That happens to me every year about this time. It is dark by the time I get home from work plus the weather is cold now so I do not get out to ride much and I miss it.

Yeah, that doesn’t help. We already had our first snow (early October, actually) in Vermont, but that was kind of a freak occurence. Now, the temperature is around 30 and there is some snow on the ground… I’ll go out and ride my Freeride on Christmas anyway.

Yeah, man. The days got a whole lot shorted in a big hurry. Seems like 3 weeks ago I was still able to get a 7 or 8 mile ride in before it got dark. Now it’s dark by the time I get home from work. That and it’s frigid cold here lately.

Jeffvt: Good luck on your x-mas wishes.

A couple years ago when my Nimbus muni broke and I couldn’t afford a new one or new parts :’( Now I’ve been going through withdrawal ‘cause it’s the end of the semester, and I’ve been too busy to ride :’(

I’ve been riding more than ever lately. I bought this light for my helmet, so seeing and being seen at night is no problem.
