Has anyone put a lot of lights on their Unicycle before? Like those neon glow stick lights and all that.
It would be sweet to see someone riding a Uni like that at night, those long thin glow lights on the spokes, along the crank, on the pedals, on the post, on the forks, on the seat, on the metal thing that the tire sits into (bead?), and all over the rider… Hmmm, this summer, I’ll try that and ride around town… sweet
You can get Hokey Spokes HERE. They’re pretty expensive for lights, but they look totally awesome.
ahhh… remember spokey dokes? I should get some spokey dokes for my uni. Not exactly lights, but similiar.
That gives me the idea to put a baseball card in my uni… i’ll be the coolest kid arround.
I’ve already tried the baseball card thing, it gets the attention of people, but it gets annoying after riding for so long. I recommend doing it, it’s sweet!
I put those crazy things that move up and down on the spokes as you ride, they pissed me off so fast. :.

the reason it doesn’t look very extreme or over the top is because the is a limit to the number of smilies you can use in a post. sniffle sniffle…I guess I let you down…aahhhhhhh I had a huge bunch and most recently tried it with 10 and it wouldn’t fly.

Ultra bright leds, and reflection foil (obtained from a traffic sign factory), and half transparant spoke covers.

Sofa put red christmas like lights on his coker at last years lifestyles of the rich and famous race. It looked quite near. Unfortunaly I cant find the pic.
For the seattle sea fair parade back in 2002 I had glow wire round the rim of my 29er. That looked pretty cool once it was dark enough to see it. Its like string that glows, I have the auqa colour, It will do steady or flashing and runs of a 9v battery.
No pic tho, sorry. Unless some one has one of the Uk bunch in the Parade?

i’d love lights on my unicycle but i can’t afford them, i’m saving all my money up for a lovely 29" Nimbus (mini coker i all it)
I was just reading this thread about lights on a unicycle and I suddenly had an epiphany! I immediately dug through my box of random junk and found what I was looking for. I also grabbed my uni, some tape, and a screw driver. When I went to Disney World four years ago I bought one of their cheap little light spinners. Only this one was $20.00 and worth it. It has a row of blinking LEDs. They blink in sequence so that when you spin it around by the stick, it displays a message like a flying marquee! It even has the ability to display custom messages. I just remembered that I still have this miraculous toy and I quickly took it apart and midified it so that I could attach it to my spokes and it would display a message on the side of my wheel as I rode. It is awesome. If you don’t know what I am talking about, then you might have seen one of those clocks where you fling a part back and forth and it displays the message in thin air. It is like that only better. I can’t wait to go riding with it at night.
What message should I display?
I will eventually post pictures or a video.
This thread reminded me of a picture I got off the net ages ago, I can’t remember where from. I searched the net for it again and couldn’t find it, so I dug it up from my old computer and put it on a floppy disk (to bring here). The unicycle doesn’t look ridable with the lights, but it looks impressive anyway, here it is:
