I have just returned from a wonderful unicycling tour through Greece. I can´t
wait to tell about it. We will put up a web page about it soon but here are
some facts:
Tessaloniki (30-08-2000) to Athens (08-09-2000)
3 riders: Erik Kolb (has crossed the alps in ´96), Sven Wittorf (supporter of
Minnesota tour ´99, couldn´t ride due to injury, webmaster of www.einradfahren.de) and Frank Bonsch (survivor of the Minnesota tour), all
from Germany
total distance: 560km (350mls), ridden in 10 days daily distances between 45km
(28mls) with lots of mountains and 85km
(53mls) at the coast.
28-inch-unicycles equipped with brakes, no support vehicle, complete equipment
(tents, sleeping bags, clothes, tools: 12…14kg per rider) in backpacks or on
baggage rack.
average day temperature: 35°C
lots of cultural sightseeing (Acropolis of Athens, Delphi - not only a
programming language!, and Corinth) and lots of relaxing and fun.
A web page with pictures and stories will be put up soon.
Agia? Agia!!! (do not try to understand it, it´s one of the stories…)
Awesome! Can’t wait to see the photos, especially of your setups for carrying
your camping gear etc.
Congratulations!
