I have three unicycle stands that I never use. If you make a donation of 40 pounds of dog chow to your nearest animal shelter, I will mail you one.
why do i have to give 40 pounds of dog food? i might do it but why
He cares for dogs in animal shelters and wants to make sure they dont starve??? is that right???
Beacuse there are dogs that can’t afford Kibble. They are sleeping with their rumbling tummies in the cold night, interrupted only when their flea bites itch so much it wakes them.
Yes, I love dogs and I just had my best friend of 14 years euthanised a couple months ago. I wish everyone would donate kibble in Milton’s name, but I only have three unicycle stands to give away, so that’s the best I can do.
40 pounds is a lot of kibbble. You might just order a unicycle stand and save the money. Or have a big heart and donate the kibble and feel good about yourself in an extra way every time you store your uni.
unicycle stands…
just drill a 2*4 into your ceiling and put hooks into that.
I bent it when i got home tonight and it works perfectly by itself, thanks heaos kington99;)
HA, unicycle stand I usually just lay my uni on the ground or lean it against a wall… a stand uses too much room… and I can’t put hooks in my ceiling…
i went to a construction sight and i picked up some more wood. i ended up making an identical homemade stand and it fits my other 20". now i have my two 20" on a stand. my other 26" is leaning against a wall. i only get a little space in my garage to put my unis so my set up is looking so cool.
im doin my product design GCSE and im buildin a uni stand, has anyone got any ideas
- Make it substantial, so the unicycle doesn’t fall over if you brush up against it.
- Figure out a way to make it work with any size wheel.
- Make it so you don’t need a PhD to figure out how to make the unicycle stand up.
Make something with a heavy base, an adjustable-height post, and two rubber-coated sticks that stick out at the top. Put your seat post between the sticks and rest the seat on them. Dimension it so it works for a tall person’s Coker and everything else should fit.
There, I just designed a unicycle stand!
thanks for that ill try to make some thing along those lines
stand design
somthign I’ve made thats pretty light and will hold up various sizes of unicycles. It’s also pretty light. The uni hangs off the peddle and is held from tipping over from hangin on one peddle by a hook that goes 1/2 way roung (just enogh but not too much) the seat post.
I used to have a unicycle stand., but after a while it became pointless and a waste of $$$. So now i just set my unicycles against my bedroom wall.
thats pretty kool, did u make the uni urself 2?
Are you referring to me??
the stand
I made both the stand and the unicycle. The unicycle is a bit of a disapointment. I made it to use up some industrial lolly pop style bearings I had laying around (actually belt hanger bearings). I also made a hub/axle to fit the bearings. I use the square type peddle pins as I grew up with them and the spline cranks cost more than I want to spend on a unicycle. That’s why I build my unicycles. The unicycle works and seems sturdy enough for road work or teaching some one to ride but I don’t think it’s up to anything rigorous. I’m getting to where I don’t try the crazy stuff like I used to so I could be wrong. Iv’e got another set of the lolly pop bearings so I’m trying somthing a bit different on this next uni I’m currently working on. I like flange bearings best. My unicycles tend to be a bit heavy but Iv’e never really noticed since I dont’ do anything where weight really really matters. We have hills out here but hey, “what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger”.
The stand I also made. Unfortunatly it involves welding so if you don’t have an arc welder or acess to one this may not be the stand for you. When I was young I didn’t have a welder. The ones in school were pretty bad and too I didn’t have the technique for stick welding thin walled material. If you have a welder and are interested I could make some drawings and post them for you. The stand is made from 3/8 inch hot rolled square stock, 1" square tubing and a half piece of 3-1/2 inch pipe about 3inches long. Substitutions can be made. I’ve thought a glove stiffened with epoxy to look like a where my 1/2 piece of pipe is. Then the unicycle would look like an open hand was supporting the peddle.
Some drawings of a stand
Here maybe are some drawings of a unicycle stand. If your really interested and want them in a word file let me know via private message and we will exchange particulars.
them pictures are all well and good, but im english and 14 yrs old, imperial measurements dont meen much to me
they are still good though
any way, i had another idea for a unicycle stand, its kinda like them crappy steel frame ones but is made of thick steel tubing and has go hooks to hold the seat and a thing that you rest your crank and peddle on, they are both adjustable to suit diferent size unicycles
i tried to add the drawin i did but my computer is being awkward
