I’m a design graphics engineering technology student (and a regular unicyclist). I am in design class working with a group of other students on designing a unicycle rack accessory that would work with Yakima or Thule style roof racks on vehicles. We have just started on this project and will be designing this for the duration of the current school semester. We will present our finished design towards the end of April to our class.
Currently we are in the conceptual stages of the design and we need some input from “consumers” who might use this rack. What are your ideas? What does it need to have to make attachment secure, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing? Should it be patterend after the trough, ratchet strap, and support arm design currently used for bicycles?
I am gathering input for a meeting we are having on Friday Jan 16th. Any input or ideas you have after this date will still be appreciated!
