UNICYCLE license plate

I have UNICYCL in PA

I had UNICYCL in NV

Mine was UNI BRI, but I accidentally left my plates at the car dealership when I bought a new car and they threw them out AND my “I’d rather be unicycling” license plate holder. :frowning:

Wow. I bet you don’t shop there anymore! :astonished:

As for me, I still have UNICYCL for California, but the plates themselves are looking pretty beat. Front one is dented. Time for them to get “stolen” or something. I pay an extra fee for them every year, but I’m guessing this doesn’t extend to replacing them, even after 20 years…

John, I was lucky enough to get a new set when NYS changed from one color pattern to another. As a result, I had two ‘spare’ plates before I took my new ones back to the DMV, where I learned that I only had to turn in one of them. One of the old plates was damaged, so I now have two (different patterned) plates in very good condition!

This was my plate-holder frame

I had similar luck. My first set of NY “UN1CYCLE” plates arrived only a few months before the stat switched from the blue-on-gold design to the red, white & blue Statue of Liberty plates (centennial of the statue in 1986). So the gold ones look like new! Now where are they…?

Got to put them up in the garage when I unearth them.

Even though I’m not in the US currently, my car is still in good hands with my dad with a Wisconsin UNICYCL plate.

I want some ideas for a 6 letter number plate.

Which do you like best and why?

  • UNIKEN

  • UNIDOC

  • DRUNI

  • PMCDOC (might be tax deductable)

  • PMCGP (as above)

  • 1WD

  • 1WDRVE

  • ONEWD

  • NZUNI

  • DRKEN (really dumb thanks to THAT TV show)

  • UNIRCR

  • UNICON

  • URACER

-1CYCLE

  • IMSICK

  • IMWELL

  • SICKIE

I quite like 1WD, NZUNI, 1CYCLE and UNIDOC. Not sure if I want a work related or unicycle related number plate, or both.

I think I’m allowed spaces but not sure about hyphens.

Any thougths?

Some of those are unlikely to be interpreted as “unicycle” (unless you have one strapped on top or something). Of course a Unicycle.com sticker or two would help with that.

If a space is allowed, got to find out if it takes the place of one of your available characters.

What about:
UNICYL
1 WHLR
GIZMOD
1 LOOI
KEN 1
UNI MD

And this thread reminds me again to see if I can research getting replacements for my existing plates. The reflective coating has peeled off on much of the back one, and the front one is damaged…

I just posted what is still available. I like 1 WHLR in your list.

Uni MD doesn’t work because it’s MBChB, or some variant (MBBS/ BMBCh/etc) in most countries following the UK system, and that’s too many letters
