That looks like a kid on a bike - cranks behind the wheel and handlebars to
boot

Re: Re: unicycle in Yahoo banner add
Is this the David Winston that went to Unicon III Tokyo in 1987?
If it is, I need to thank you for some inspiration and I would be interested in what you’re up to now.
Until the Future,
It looked like a Uni to me also, until I saw the replies in
this thread. I thought the kid looked like he was just
about to fall off.

Yep - one in the same. Thanks for the kind words.
I haven’t done any competitive riding since then, though I have attended a
few conventions over the years. In 1989 I moved from Illinois to Southern
California. Having a wife and kids has kept the Uni activity to a minimum
over the years.
I did ride a bit with Rob Brown several years ago before he moved up to
Oregon and did the wife/family thing too.
Last year I rode Uni in a feature film “Slackers” for about 10 seconds
(don’t rent this unless you are into really stupid, gross comedies). So I
have 14:50 of fame left
Recently I met Scot Cooper, who introduced me to Muni. He let me use his
brand new Wilder the first day he got it (before he even had ridden it!!!).
What a totally cool guy. After 4 hours of climbing in the canyons behind
Laguna Beach, the Wilder (sweet!) and Scot (monster rider!) had me wiped
out, but understandably hooked on Muni.
I’ll e-mail you offline so as not to clog the already wordy newsgroup and
force any additional lurkers
from coming out of the woodwork
Take care,
David Winston
Re: unicycle in Yahoo banner add
Sorry, but I don’t see a unicycle in that ad. Look carefully… I think
thats a bike.

Maybe I’m one of the few who actually enjoyed Slackers?
Re: Re: unicycle in Yahoo banner add
Duh,if you would read the whole thead instead of just blasting out a quik comment you would have figured out that i know already.
why is it that people dont read that whole thing in context?i notice this all the time.people just chime in without even reading the results of earlier posts.
