I had my first dream involving a unicycle. I was driving along a road and
spotted a unicyclist riding way up ahead. For some reason I was able to
tell that it was a 20". The rider was doing hops while still travelling
forward, like bunny hops. I’m not able to do those yet. Anyone else dream
about unicycles?
um no…

Hi,
I have had some of these unicycle dreams. I thought I was the only one. Before I tell, I also mind-unicycle while sitting at school a lot. The dream that I can remember most, was one where I was riding in a combination of Moab, and North Shore trails. I did a extremely huge drop, and when I touched ground, I shook and woke up.

Hi
I had a unicycling dream last night. it was awsome because in the dream i could glide.(real life im learning how to) i thaught it was cool because it felt realistic trying to keep balance. now i cant wait till i can glide!:D

That’s really funny, I had a dream that I could glide also, which inspired me to learn to do it. I also had a dream I could wheel walk before I could do it. Looking back on it, the gliding in the dream was very similar to what it feels like in real life, although in the dream I was gliding of road, and was able to glide uphill.

Nah, it’s a recurring thread. If you visit
http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search and search for posts in
rec.sport.unicycling where the subject contains “dreams”, you’ll find a
good selection (but feel free to post more, 'cause they’re always fun to
read about).

I had a dream where I fell off a unicycle from pedalling too fast. At the
time I was asleep next to my son and kicked him when I fell. I woke up to
find him quite surprised. I haven’t had a really great unicycle dream that
I remember.

It was the start of a new quarter, and I was on my way to physics class. I
was wearing pants and everything, so I had no reason to suspect I was
actually dreaming. I was early, as were most other people, so we waited
out in the hallway for class in the room to finish. While waiting, a cute
girl nearby took out some juggling balls, and at one point, had a pretty
nice run of 5-ball rubenstein’s revenge, among several other highly
technical tricks. After physics was over, I noticed she had a unicycle as
well. She went on to do some equally improbable tricks with that, from
sideriding, to riding while facing sideways (I think I’ve seen that trick
one once in real life… don’t remember by whom, or what it’s actually
called), stand-up coasting, and some long standstills while wheel walking.
After I woke up, and realized that day’s events were merely a dream, I was
a little depressed.
By the way, if there are any cute girls out there who are good at physics,
and enjoy juggling and unicycling, please drop me a line

Despite Freud’s insistance that these unicycle dreams are nothing more
than an expression of “wheel envy”, I believe there is a good deal more
going on. My own theory focuses on spicy kielbasa for dinner perhaps
coupled with broken bed springs.
