Unicycle.com Product Reviews

From what i know, most of us frequently, or at least once ordered something from unicycle.com. I see every day on the forum the reviews of products and how they either crashed or worked well. Unicycle.com is a great place for people to buy unicycles, and has by far the most selection. I dont know about everybody else, but i think we owe it to the Drummonds to write reviews of the products we have bought, whether you bought them 2 years ago or a month ago. For example, i might have bought the savage had it not been for the bad reviews, but i bought the torker due to the great reviews. Its nice to know peoples opinions on the unis and be able to look at them to make a decision on your unicycle.

Yeah, I’ve often thought that when trying to decide whether or not to buy something off unicycle.com. I think “somebody must have bought this, so why don’t they put a review?” I’ve put reviews for almost everything I’ve bought.

i would be more willing to post a review of a product other than the place I bought it from. MTBR.com…a Mountainbike site has a review section…that’s awesome!

C’mon Gilby…let’s see a review forum here. Check out httP://www.mtbr.com/reviews to see how a good review section is…I would love to see that here. Unicycle.com is just for buying stuff

Interesting… I just checked on a few reviews I gave some time back. The positive ones are still there…and some of the not so positive…

Perhaps The Wobbling Unicyclist might be interested in incorporating user reviews; pritty Boss site -would be a natural fit. Still, it would be nice to know people would use it if the effort was made. So, would we?

OK… here it is: http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=27

Try to keep it orderly by putting all reviews of the same product in the same thread and of course no threads that are not about a specific product. It’ll probably end up being heavily moderated a little later on with the first post in each thread to have all the main review stuff in it, but for now, lets see some reviews to see what we’re working with.

yes, yes we would

Will that be linked to rsu? I’d hate to think of people writing useful
product reviews and not posting them here.

While it’s no secret that I’m a rsu fan, I think the best place for
reviews is a web site (which this forum basically is). Then you can
just go there e.g. if you need a review of something you consider
buying. Having them in a hierarchical order (like on the exemplary
Wobbling Unicyclist review section) would be nicer still, but hey it’s
a start.

Thanks Gilby for being so responsive to user suggestions!

I posted only a single copy of this message.

Muniac.com also has a review section on his bulletin board. The equipment reviewed there is mostly muni oriented. If you are looking for reviews of muni stuff be sure to check out muniac.com

Gilby’s new review forum will be good too. It will get more traffic and will cover more than just muni oriented equipment.

Thanks for the review section Gilby. I’ve posted a few there now and so have some other people. I think it’d be great if people can post some pictures as well of these products where it’s appropriate. The review section, once it’s got a few more reviews in there, is going to be really helpful for heaps of people. Good work.

Thanks,
Andrew Carter

If anyone is still going to put reviews on Unicycle.com, then try to put the date of your review as well.

That might help IMHO.

Yeah, makes sense, but I’d rather see them in rsu as they’re posted, then do
a Google Groups search if I want to look back on a specific review.

I’d like to see the “build your custom cycle” be up soon. I think that would be sweet for building trials unis and Munis. Other Mountain bike sites have similar webpage setups, it works really well.

It has been ‘coming soon’ since the site was rebuilt. I think they are still trying to figure out how to pad the MUni wheel build prices- it’s easyer to swallow a $122 wheel build when it is hidden in the total…

sure, through some more gasoline on the fire dude.
