Very nice, Carol.

Who is John from Texas? Do we know him? There was a Texan formally of Minnesota that rode an ultimate wheel in the parade.

Bruce

Uh, shouldn’t this go under the spam category?

$6700 for a painting of a unicycling rabbit? What a bargain!! Carol, you’re in for a surprise this X-mas. What’s your address?

Kelsey, your mom is SOOooo cool.

I wonder if John would consider removing the rabbit and selling a picture of just the uni?

Bruce

That’s why god made PhotShop. Or was it Adobe? Either way, I don’t think the artist would dig on that too much.

looks like he already removed the spokes, probobly saving the buyer $300 at least.

No, no… that’s a Coker travelling at top speed, so the spokes are just a blur.

This looks interesting, though:

oh - oh! I’ve gone off-topic, haven’t I?

On second thought, perhaps the rabbit is a distraction. If the rabbit was removed from the picture, the price would certainly increase.

I wouldn’t want to be in the position to smell some of the things that the magic chair has to smell.

Hi, Bruce.

Yup. That’s John. He’s gotten really good on the ultimate wheel. He retired
and moved to Texas last year. We miss him around here, especially in
parades, like today (Minnesota State Fair).

Lots of horses in that parade. . . . Although, I never actually saw any of
them.

Shoot! I was going to surprise YOU with one of these for your birthday next
week!

Now, you’ve probably already got one!

Rats.

But don’t worry. I’ll come up with something else equally appropriate. How
many more days before the big event? How’s Level 5 coming?

5-UNTIL-50. (days)-UNTIL-(years)

Level 5 isn’t even breathing hard. I’ve wheel-walked 100 feet a few times and can transition to the pedals from riding. I haven’t gone from WW to the pedals and I can’t always go over 30 feet but usually can. I still haven’t tried seat-on-the-side in a circle. If I can do it all this weekend, I’ll try to get in touch with Alan or Megan and get tested by Wednesday.

Funny… I never saw them either, but still, I just knew somehow that there
were horses up there ahead of us somewhere. Must be some sort of psychic sense.

If Teddy Grahams crackers
were shaped like goats instead of bears,
would they be Billy Grahams?

I rode beside John in the parade for quite a ways. He’s a neat guy and did an awesome job on the ultimate wheel. Must be tough riding the UW the entire 2½ hours.

John seems to have quickly lost his winter skin though. We got stuck in the ski lift that last Friday and John was sitting beside us (Mary and I - Ben and Brad were in the next car up). When the lift stopped, we sat swinging in the mountain breeze for about 20 minutes. I was quite comfortable as I just happened to be wearing my winter shorts and tee-shirt at the time but John (and Mary) seemed to be a bit chilly.

It was great to get to know him.

No.

Re: unicycle artwork

If nothing else, it reminded me that I’ve been sartorially inelegant on my
Coker, lately: shorts, t-shirts, white socks, Brooks Beasts… and the white
tie is more suitable for the activity.
