Unicycle across New England to cure melanoma

My good friend Tristan is planning a 10-day uni ride from Burlington, Vermont to West Quoddy Point Lighthouse in Maine to raise money for the Melanoma Research Foundation. This cause is particularly important to him, as his father just passed away from melanoma last week.

He’s trying to raise $5,000 by the conclusion of the ride on June 2nd.

If you can spare a few dollars, you can really make a difference. Or if you’re in Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine, and might be able to help him out along the way, please do.

You can donate at http://www.firstgiving.com/onewheel-onecure

Just Donated to the Cause

I’ve just donated to Tristan’s cause. Now that is a ride worthy of sponsorship! I’m sure he knows the Hills involved on Rt2 from Montpelier to Skowhegan, but wow! He’ll be infinitely happy for his pit crew at the end of each day… Good Luck Tristan!

Thanks

Thanks for the donation/support Mountainuni1, yeah I’ve driven the route a lot and seen the hills and I’m hoping I’m up to the challenge. I’m going to be ridding my fairly new 36 inch Coker with a Nightrider tire. I think I’ll be thanking my bike short at the end of most days and cursing certain body parts. :astonished:
My official website for the trip/fundraiser will be up (as opposed to just the donation page) with a map of the route and the days I’ll be at certain places. If people want to join me for parts of the trip I’d appreciate the company.

Assuming your ride will be planned for when it’s just a bit warmer??

I have a Nimbus 36er as well, and would consider joining you for a leg of the trip. Keep us in the loop with details and dates, and we likely could get a couple others with “Big wheels” to join you:)

Weather

I’m starting on May 23 in Burlington so it will be a bit warmer. I’ll make sure to keep everyone up to date on when I’ll be unicycling through different places!
