Unicycle Across Minnesota - Thank You

Unicycle Across Minnesota for MS is now finished!

We recently closed the books on the event and thanks to many generous people, we
raised $34,000 for the MS society. It is an incredible amount that surprised
even the MS society. You can view the ride at: http://www.skypoint.com/~cotter/

While many people really helped in many different ways, I would like to thank a
few of the unicyclists who helped us with our event:

Geoff Faraghan was nice enough to lend us his Telford unicycle for the ride.
While the Telford is mostly known for MUni, this one was modified with a 28"
wheel and short cranks (110mm). This light and rugged unicycle worked really
well and was ridden for almost the entire trip. Thanks, Geoff, for trusting us
with your baby. Check out the Telford website at:

The Hutchinson One Wheelers in Hutchinson, Minnesota were very accommodating in
our stay on our second night of the ride. Besides getting us free access to the
local swimming pool, they had organized a pizza dinner for us and coordinated
home stays for all of the riders and support staff (some people even got to soak
in a hot tub). My parents (my mom can ride a unicycle with assistance) even
donated 20 gallons of milk.

We would also like to thank the Ringsmuth Riders in St. Cloud, Minnesota. St.
Cloud was the third day on our ride and the Ringsmuth Riders, in conjunction
with The Camera Shop, fed us very hungry unicyclists a really good dinner,
helped with the world record attempt of Guy Hansen pedaling with his hands, set
up the show, helped with the press, found a few more free hotel rooms for the
group and even drove up to International Falls to see us finish. Frank Ringsmuth
has a partnership with The Camera Shop and, besides helping pay for the meal,
they helped us in developing the 50 rolls of film that were taken of the ride.

The Unicycle Source (http://www.unicycle.com/) donated a portion of all sales to
Unicycle Across Minnesota. I would like to thank everybody who bought something
from the Unicycle Source as the total amount that was donated from them to MS
was over $1,100. I really appreciate all that John Drummond is doing for
unicycling with The Unicycle Source. If you haven’t visited their site go to
http://www.unicycle.com or call 1-800-UNICYCLE.
