they said it would be back on the 8th but its still not back.
when is the website gonna be fixed?
Don’t know, but you can get at some archived content at http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.freewebs.com/andrewcarter/home.htm
Sorry. Last I heard Peter was planning to move it over to the unicyclist.com webspace but is on a holiday (?) or something.
Andrew
well, hey squeegy, if theres anything you want a tip on i can probably help ya man. and if i cant im sure someone else here can. just post whatever youre havin’ trouble with and someone will give ya a tip.
hehe not quite holiday Working down in the Malborough Sounds for two weeks cutting tracks in native bush for some big company who’s making a big system of walking tracks there. I’ll be back in a week, and should have some time then to switch the site over.
I hope you’re making mountain unicycle-friendly trail suggestions along the way.
Hi Andrew, I was wondering how was going the migration over to Unicyclist.com.
I needed to get some useful advice on wheel walking and pedal grabbing, and I realised how dependant I was on your website
I did get the info from the archive pointed by Gilby but I miss the real thing
That’s fantastic to hear that people really are using our site. Makes me think I should make some more tutorial videos and gather some more tips and techniques from others.
I emailed Peter a few days ago and haven’t had him reply yet, which is a little odd. I guess he’s still busy working (not neccessarily on the site). I/he will let you know when there’s any news. I hope it’s not too long.
Andrew
That would be grand !!!
Whenever I have a hard time learning a new trick I go check out what your site has to say about it. Most of the time it’s dead on. It is indeed a great source of knowledge for the learner, and I’m surprised you weren’t more aware of that.
Whenever someone asks me about “how do I do this or that ?” I send them to unicycle 2 ya or the unicycle blog.
All I have to say is WE WANT MORE OF EVERYTHING and thank you for doing it.
This time around maybe I should record some narration over the top.
Well, that’s a fairly good idea, however it might not be as easy to understand for those who don’t speak English well. Maybe you could use the best of both worlds, Comment+ Super titles
Good point. Haha, “super titles”. It took me a second to realise you meant what we call ‘subtitles’ and not just titles that are really super.
Andrew
No, I didn’t mean subtitles, I meant Super Titles.
A super Title in post production is a full screen title pretty much like what you’ve used so far. It’s New York technical English going through the mouth (fingers ?) of a French man
Wow, I didn’t know that!
