I just want to vent some frustrating news:
Whilst doing some light training on Saturday, I performed a UPD from my KH36 and broke my wrist.
Doc thinks Iām a chance to still participate at Unicon but itās certainly not a guarantee. Bloody devastated 
Feeling very sorry for myself, Iāve been hyped for this event for nearly 2 years!
Now to see if my regular doctor will sign off on my fitness to participate form so I can at least be eligible to participateā
While wearing wrist guards? I just about broke my wrists when first learning how to ride, and at the same time almost cracked my skull open ā¦ I wear helmet and wrist guards all the time now out of fear of my clumsiness.

If juggling conventions are anything to go by, it will keep getting fuller as more people say they want to do a workshop/ride etc. Even during the event more should go up as people decide they want to do somethingā¦
There are some competitions in the programme that sounds fun. Do you have to have a health certificate to participate in the more convention oriented fun competitions? I am attending as a non competitor.
By the way, I can only access the programme via the link in the forum. On the Unicon homepage the practical information and convention menu points are irresponsive. I am using an iPad and Safari and Startpage.
And yet another question. Will the various unicycle shops be present at Unicon to provide spare parts or will I have to stock up before going?

The medical certificate wording on the English health and safety page is ambiguous. While it specifies that you will be unable to participate in competitions (IUF events) without one, it also suggests that all participants must present a certificate. Given there will be non competitors that do not unicycle, demanding they be fit for ācompetitive sportā makes no sense. @Ziski does the language make more sense on the German page?
Alas, flying into Linz, hope you get a good group. Vienna is a lovely city.
There are two places on the page to select the language ā the first at the very top of the page where you can select āEnglishā and the second on the top the the āFun & Community Planā frame ā beside where it says āPDF Exportā you can select āDE EN FR ES IT JAā for the language there. I didnāt see that for a start but selecting āENā there works fine for me.
For me the language is swapped, selecting English will give you German and vice versa
It says the same in German (all participants - no difference between competitors and non-competitors) and in French.
But I need to write to them anyways about something else, so Iāll tell them.
Will there be extra unicycles for me to borrow at the event? I would like to do some freestyle workshops and the Muni ride, but I canāt bring a uni.
Yes, very likely. But most likely from other riders. You should be able to find it through some chatting during the convention.
I will definitely be bringing my 24 for road and track races, and my 27.5 for muni. If I have space once I have packed the van up, would it be worth bringing another uni? (Silly question really, its always worth having another uni isnāt it!) And if so which one? Torn between trying to fit the 29 or 36 in for longer road rides or the 19 for messing around, skills practice and general convention stuff. Im leaning towards the 19 since thatās the stuff I want to learn, I already do some moderately long rides but have very few āskillsā beyond mounting and riding. Thoughts from those who have attended previous unicons would be appreciated!
And is anyone else driving there? Im getting the ferry from Dover early on Thursday 23rd, then driving to Steyr through France, Belgium and Germany as thatās what Google maps tells me is the best route, to arrive hopefully some time on the Friday. Anyone else on a similar route and timeline?
