A unicycle appeared one other time on Seinfeld, in the episode where Jerry went
out with a Romanian gymnast. He was at the circus with her and a unicyclist rode
behind him.

I was watching Seinfeld last night and in the background on the wall of one of
the flats was a unicycle! It got a nice shot focusing on it to. Standard chrome
unicycle, nice product placement someone!

Any other known appearances of unicycles on TV. I know there is one on one of
Peter Gavriel’s song clips (the one done by aardman animations).

My kids have a “Barney and the Backyard Gang” video, an old one, where Barney is
a youthful blue instead of a mature purple. It’s the one where the gang puts on
a surprise show for Michael and Amy’s (I think that’s their names) father’s
birthday. In the garage - er, excuse me, clubhouse -, a unicycle is hanging on
the wall in the background along with other garage/attic paraphernalia that
typically gets stored there. My five-year-old son can’t see the unicycle
(slightly out of focus in the background), but, due to my unicycle interest, I
can see it clear enough!

Let’s not forget that the Beaumont family from Quebec City had a nice long
program on ESPN about UNICON VI. I believe that it was called Amazing Games. The
host was a Wide Receiver from football. Played for the Oakland Raiders. He died
a couple years after UNICON VI of cancer.

Who could forget the short cut during the credits of the 'Welcome Back Kotter"
show credits that shows a kid riding away from the camera on a unicycle in the
streets brooklyn.

My brother, Bruce Rogers, made a brief appearance on a TV game show
once, delivering the prize envelope (or something of that sort, perhaps
he'll provide details) while riding his unicycle. Kato, the famous
Japanese unicyclist, appeared in (at least one) TV gladiator show as a
contestant. Many unicyclists have appeared in televised parades. Many
national and international unicycle meets have appeared on TV news
programs. The Cotters probably have various TV appearances to relate...

The Darkwing Duck TV cartoon series has a unicycling robot; so did The
Jetsons. There's a Daffy Duck cartoon in which Daffy rides a giraffe
unicycle as part of a vaudeville audition (although this might have been
originally been a theatrical release rather than a TV release).

You may have asked a broader question than you intended; perhaps you
wanted instances of unicycles in sitcoms, or other regular
(non-animated) TV series? Nonetheless, the answers you get, of whatever
breadth, should make good material for the unicycling FAQ. You are
hereby volunteered to collate the responses, and submit the result to
    Beirne Konarski. ;-) ;-)
