He’s got half of page 8B of the October 29th San Jose Mercury News. Two photos,
one of them pretty big, and a decent article about how he often rides his uni to
work (2.5 miles). It also mentions that he competed with it in the Mount Diablo
Challenge recently.
He lives in Sunnyvale, CA – same town as I do – but I don’t recall ever
having met him.
If I start riding my uni to work (10 miles) I’d better get press coverage.
Yet another sighting of unis was reported to me by an ex-student in Portland OR.
He saw a brief video clip of people muni-ing during a segueway between kids’
shows on KPTV, after which he promptly emailed me and asked if I was insane for
trying to muni. Anyone know anything about this particular clip? Sorry I can’t
be more specific. He saw the clip just two days ago.

KPTV; is that Kittle, Peter TV? Cool.

(BTW, that clip could have been something local to the Portland area, or might
have been a little piece of tapings that were done in Santa Cruz in September or
at NUC last summer. I don’t know.)
