Has their ever been a unicycle across america charity or something? If not some people should do it, I was just thinking about it… could we get sponsors you think?? Give your thoughts.
Yeah, here’s one: http://onewheel.org/
I think you can read his story on unicycling.org, too.
In addition to Lars Clausen’s recent ride across the United States, there are two other well known rides.
Wally Watts in about 1974 rode across Canada from the west to the east.
During 1976-1978 Watts also rode around the world.
During 1983-1984 Pietro Biondo rode the perimeter of North America.
Watts and Biondo’s rides were done using solid tires. Ouch!

Do you know if any of these people got sponsored or did it for a charity or something or they just felt like doing it.
Around the world on a solid tire, that would suck soooooooo bad. But in a way it would also be the best thing ever.
If you read Lars Clausen’s site you will find out about his purpose in his ride.
Watts and Biondo did not have charities as I recall.
I think you will find for most people who undertake long unicycle tours for charity (or any major endeavor for charity), that their purpose, that is their charitable goal, precedes their decision to use unicycling as the vehicle for achieving the end.
